WriteUpp is a practice management software from the UK. They help healthcare professionals efficiently manage their daily tasks. With over 13,000 users, including physiotherapists, psychotherapists, and other healthcare specialists.

The Challange

WriteUpp faced several digital marketing challenges that limited its ability to attract new users:

  1. Lack of rankings for strategic BOFU keywords
  2. Lack of clear direction in their content marketing strategies.
  3. Difficulty in appearing in search results for terms that are not directly linked to their brand name.
  4. Technical problems with the website, such as issues with how efficiently search engines could scan the site, and duplicate content.

Our Solution

How did we do it?

We launched a comprehensive revenue-driven SEO campaign in September 2021, here are some of the action items we took:

  1. Developed a Content Marketing Strategy: Initiated a regular schedule for creating and sharing online content tailored to meet the needs of potential customers.

    • Targeted high intent keywords like “Alternative to” to attract high quality traffic and potentially convert them into paying customers.
  3. Technical Website Overhaul: Addressed and resolved the website’s technical issues to enhance readability and search engine favorability
  4. Content Audit and Optimization: Reviewed and upgraded existing content to maintain its relevance and attractiveness to both users and search engines.
  5. Glossary Pages Development: Developed detailed glossary pages to clarify complex terms for visitors, enriching the site’s value as an information resource.
  6. Multimedia SEO Efforts: Expanded into Podcast and YouTube SEO to increase visibility and attract a wider audience.

The Results

The improvements made in WriteUpp’s SEO strategy led to significant gains:

  1. Revenue Growth: Revenue from search engine-driven sources increased by 75%, demonstrating a strong return on investment.
  2. Boost in Organic Traffic: Visitor numbers from organic traffic nearly doubled, rising by 87% from 8,000 per month in 2022 to 15,000 in 2023. Importantly, this upward trend is continuing into 2024, with traffic steadily increasing each month.
